Quick sips of paradise

As he smiles at me

As I spill my drink

He laughed too I think

As he laughs away

As I learn to walk

And learn how to talk

As he sucks for air

As I learn to bike

And we go to hike

Fast sips of paradise

As I scream at him

As I start to cry

And wish I would die

Quick sips of paradise

As I graduate

As he hugs me tight

And say all is right

.

No sips of paradise

As he lies in bed

As I hold his hand

Pray it’s not the end

.

In this black sea

As rain starts to fall

I stand strong and tall

Slow sips of paradise

I miss him so much

My grandpa has passed

He’s in heaven at last….
